Make-Up Artist Wanted (Melbourne)

Make-up artist needed to assist for two afternoons on a short film entry for tropfest, a fun comedy titled “Anniversary.”

We’re looking for a fun and open person with a love of film, who can fit in with a relaxed but professional crew. Also with a view to hopefully work on future projects with the team.

Make up requirements are simple for this project, mainly seeing to the lead actress and base make up for male co-star. Some basic hair styling would be preferable. 

A professional or student artist whom can provide their own materials would best suit this position, as the budget for this film is minimal, and cast/crew involvement is voluntary.

If you are an artist who can provide your own materials, you can then keep the make-up budget as a small fee for your services.

Shoot Dates & Locations:

Cast/Crew production meeting - TBA
Saturday 6th Dec, 12pm to 5pm in Reservoir.
Sunday 7th Dec, 1pm onwards in Fawkner.

FixedPoint Productions is an independent film company owned and operated by Cassie Dart and Paul Puccio. FixedPoint has produced numerous short films, co-productions and client videos since its inception, employing both amateur and professional cast and crew. FixedPoint recently celebrated three years of filmmaker at the 16:nine@20nine showcase, premiering all their recent films.

Cassie Dart is a writer-director who produced her first short film The Last Outpost with FixedPoint in 2005. The film went on to screen at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival and still features on Switch TV. Since, Cassie has directed a number of short films, theatre productions and creative videos. She is currently scripting a fantasy feature, and works in television production, mainly at Channel 9.

Paul Puccio is a producer and cinematographer. He has shot and chopped films through his time at JMC Academy and on most films featured at 16:nine. Paul works at the newsroom at Channel 9, and produces corporate and promotional videos in his spare time.
